About Me

I feel very fortunate to be doing what I love! I have always been interested in the body and how it works. It started with my own sport rehab of various injuries and continued with my first sport injury and taping course in university. After my first season as a junior trainer for a lacrosse team, I knew I was hooked. Still after years of clinical and field work, I continue to challenge my understanding of the body and I see it as a life long passion.

I completed my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University and then went on to complete my Advanced Certificate in Athletic Therapy from Mount Royal College. I have been working clinically since 2004 and was the Head Therapist for the Canadian Men's Paralympic Soccer Team for three years. In 2014, I graduated from the Canadian School of Osteopathy with a Diploma of Osteopathic Manual Therapy.

My Goals for Your Therapy

  • Relieve pain and improve mobility
  • Restore health and vitality to the tissues
  • Discover the root causes of dysfunction instead of chasing pain/symptoms
  • Introduce symmetrical functional movement exercises to ensure future success and recovery

Treatments

What I treat

  • Pelvic, back and neck dysfunction and pain
  • Joint pain - hip, knee, TMJ etc
  • Postural correction
  • Whiplash
  • Soft tissue injury - sprain, strain, tendonitis, impingement
  • Cranio-sacral work - headaches, concussions etc
  • Visceral manipulation
  • Infants/children - colic, torticollis, mild plagiocephaly etc

How I treat

I believe in assessing and treating the body as a whole instead of separating it into specific compartments. With a detailed assessment I will look and feel for regions of immobility and decreased vitality throughout the entire body. I use this information to find your specific patterns of dysfunction and use various manual therapy techniques to create symmetry and mobility in your body.
